2010..... seems like only yesterday..

"Symph" is stretching its' legs now, thankfully. Domestic and European sales are occurring weekly......most cool. The Classical market is a difficult market to penetrate, as Classical music is steeped in history. Many folks think of Classical music as "deceased Germans"......couple that thought process with the fact that I composed and performed all the parts. Such an affront, really....

I did toy with the idea of subterfuge.... "Symph, as performed by the Lake Union Philanthropic Orchestra...under the direction of Conductor Itzen Tzompkey.."

I am currently working on new projects, having been unable to concentrate on a single concept. One project is a full blown Vegas style Big Band extravaganza...full horn section and strings backing a pit band with lots of vocals. The other project is a stripped down...noisy...guitar/bass/drums and vocals kind of thing. I will keep you informed of the progress.

In the meanwhile I will be releasing "Awaken Softly", the yoga/meditation disk. And, as if that wasn't enough...I will then release "1993"...a look backward.

Ordering is as easy as iTunes, Amazon, etc. "Late Night Holiday Listening" and "Symph" are both available right there, buddy.....

Besides....baby needs a new pair of shoes....

Final printing of the "Symph" score continues. Upon score completion I will begin entering "Symph" for consideration with leading orchestras.

On the menu bar above are my most recent releases, complete with cover art and music. There are links on the pages that will lead you to a few of the purchase sites.

About.....

Van has worked his particular form of auditory wonder since his childhood. Singing three part harmony with his brother and mother in the car, Van has always "heard the parts".

Van has performed from LA and San Francisco to New York City. His music has been heard from PBS to the NY State Tax commercials, live theatre, as well as an award winning Public Service mini-movie in Maine.

Most happy working alone, Van performs all of the instruments on "..Late Night Holiday Listening", "Awaken Softly" and "Symph".

Van currently lives on a classic wooden boat in Seattle.
